East Alabama Motor Speedway


East Alabama Motor Speedway is a three-eighths mile high banked dirt oval located in Phenix City, Alabama, near Columbus, Georgia. East Alabama Motor Speedway was built by Jimmy Thomas and opened on March 18th, 1973. Bud Lunsford won the first race at the track.

East Alabama Motor Speedway

East Alabama Motor Speedway held the first ever NDRA Late Model race on August 5th, 1978. The race was won by Jimmy Thomas's son, Bobby Thomas.

East Alabama Motor Speedway has hosted races featuring some of the bigger names in racing including Jeff Purvis, Scott Blomquist, Rick Eckert, Billy Moyer, and many more.
